Full Job Description Production Supervisor Location :

Ontelaunee Farms - 5379 Allentown Pike, Temple, PA 19560

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production processes and daily delivery of high-quality compost materials. This role involves managing the composting operation, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures for mushroom farms, and ensuring efficient production. The supervisor will manage teams, coordinate supplier relationships, oversee raw material receipt, track production forecasts, and ensure high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient compost production for mushroom farms. Supervise compost formulation according to requirements to ensure homogeneous production. Manage raw material receipt and inventory. Track production forecasts and manage resources to meet delivery targets. Assign performance goals and ensure compliance with operational standards. Supervise and motivate staff to create a productive work environment. Monitor and adjust the composting biological process by taking temperature readings and analyzing results. Ensure safety protocols are followed and work to improve safety standards. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment. Collect compost samples for quality control. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues affecting production efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Experience supervising teams and managing daily operations. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement process improvements. Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear instructions to staff. Flexibility to adjust work hours based on operational needs. Ability to work 5 days per week, including 1 weekend day. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including managing composting processes, temperatures, and machinery.

Bilingual:

English-Spanish is a plus.
