Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor role offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsible for overseeing overnight operations, this position requires a candidate who enjoys working directly with production teams to drive efficiency, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make timely decisions on the production floor while fostering a collaborative and high-performing workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize production tasks to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Supervise a team of 15-30 fulfillment clerks and production assistants, delegating tasks and monitoring performance to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate resources across departments to optimize efficiency and maintain high quality standards during overnight shifts.
• Monitor production lines and machine throughput to minimize downtime and ensure the correct jobs are processed on appropriate equipment.
• Oversee labor needs by adjusting staff levels using outside temporary agencies as workload fluctuates, and monitor labor costs.
• Utilize computer systems and software applications to track, process, complete, and dispatch work, as well as generate reports.
• Ensure all output meets client specifications and sustain a safe, organized work environment consistent with 5S principles.
• Cross-train associates to reduce labor costs and ensure appropriate staffing across production operations, while effectively communicating priorities to the following shift.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in supervising or leading teams within a production environment.
• Track record of maintaining production equipment, print industry experience helpful.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with various business software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to meet operational goals and deadlines.
• Ability to make effective supervisory decisions, and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
