Role:
The Production Supervisor in the durable goods manufacturing sector plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, managing team performance, and ensuring that production targets and deadlines are consistently met. The supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including quality control, maintenance, and supply chain to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues promptly. They will also be instrumental in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Ultimately, the Production Supervisor ensures that manufacturing operations align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures in durable goods manufacturing. Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Certification in production supervision or manufacturing management (e.g., Certified Production Technician, Six Sigma Green Belt). Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced data analysis tools. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:
