Job Description
Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure that production schedules and customer requirements are consistently met. This role leads and develops production employees, maintains high standards of safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. The Production Supervisor collaborates closely with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to support overall plant objectives while maintaining accurate production and performance records. Responsibilities Supervise and direct production employees to meet daily production schedules and customer requirements. Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards across all production activities. Monitor production processes and make timely adjustments to optimize efficiency, throughput, and resource utilization. Train, coach, and evaluate employees to support skill development, engagement, and performance improvement. Investigate and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to align production activities with overall plant objectives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production output, employee attendance, and performance metrics. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process improvement efforts, to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities in line with the production plan and established processes. Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring adherence to safety procedures. Essential Skills Proven production supervision or production management experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of manufacturing or supervisory experience, preferably in concrete or related industries. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills to effectively guide and motivate production teams. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems. Ability to plan, prioritize, and adjust to changing production needs in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure. Supervisory skills and management skills with the ability to supervise activities and production processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems. Must have a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with general labor tasks and hands-on production activities. Experience in environments involving construction, carpentry, or use of hand tools. Comfort working in a production plant setting with exposure to dust, dirt, and variable temperatures. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
