Job Description
About the Role We are looking for a Production Supervisor to manage daily plant activities and guide a team of operators in a high-speed, continuous manufacturing environment focused on biofuels and ethanol. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for the reliability, safety, and efficiency of various processing streams while pushing for operational excellence. You will also be tasked with mentoring staff, tracking performance indicators, and leading improvement projects to ensure production targets and quality benchmarks are consistently achieved. Core Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day functions of the drying, evaporation, distillation, and fermentation systems. Track critical process variables like pH, flow rates, pressure, and temperature to help optimize production yields. Maintain steady-state operations and provide rapid responses to any process interruptions. Direct and assist plant operators by delegating responsibilities and verifying adequate shift staffing. Foster a robust safety culture to help maintain a secure working environment for the entire team. Verify that all environmental standards, including wastewater and emissions protocols, are strictly followed. Coordinate with laboratory personnel to uphold product quality standards and resolve any inconsistencies. Document and analyze key performance metrics such as downtime, throughput, and yield. Resolve production challenges by working closely with the engineering and maintenance departments. Facilitate the professional growth, training, and performance management of your team members.
Qualifications and Background Education:
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, while a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a similar discipline is preferred.Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within the biofuels, ethanol, or comparable processing sectors is required.Knowledge:
You must have prior leadership experience in manufacturing, a deep understanding of distillation and fermentation processes, and a firm grasp of environmental and safety regulations.Software:

Compensation and Schedule The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $85,000 per year, plus annual bonus opportunities.
