Production Supervisor - Night

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sawmill Production Supervisor for night shifts at our sawmill manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and lead a team of production workers. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with sawmill manufacturing processes to maintain efficient production flow during night hours. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly line workers and production staff during night shifts Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment Monitor production processes to meet quality standards and production targets Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance coordination Train new employees on assembly procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation Collaborate with warehouse personnel to manage inventory levels and material movement Document production metrics, report issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives Enforce company policies and procedures across the manufacturing floor Ensure OSHA standards are followed Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory environment with knowledge of assembly lines and warehouse operations Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment such as forklifts Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred Strong understanding of safety standards within a factory or warehouse environment Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and factory workflows is essential Previous exposure to mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks will be considered an asset Ability to use to computers and basic data entry required. Ability to interpret computer generated graphs and information required. Must be proficient in reading and speaking English. Ability to speak Spanish - desired but not required.
