Job Description
Position Summary The Production Supervisor has responsibility for fostering a safe work environment by demonstrating integrity, trust and ethical conduct always. This position has daily responsibility for operations in Graphics Coating (All value-added activities) as well as supporting all departments when deemed necessary. This position will work onsite at Mactac's Spartanburg, SC manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all employees adhere to work rules and safety policies. Applying all safety regulations that meet OSHA and Mactac safety guidelines. Conducting incident investigations and ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained. Establishing a strong presence on the floor to set and communicate expectations, standards, and evaluate results so all employees understand expectations. Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with adherence to company policies, work rules, and applicable laws. Overseeing training requirements; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance when applicable; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and ensuring timecards are accurate and approved on a timely basis. Leading/ coaching and providing overall direction to all operators, teams and support functions across the entire facility to safely produce a quality product in the most efficient manner possible. Supporting the facility by ensuring all departments are properly staffed with qualified employees, including administration of time off (Vacation/Personal Time) and scheduling equipment against staffing requirements. Reviewing production schedules to ensure that schedules can be achieved and are based on the priorities of maximizing production effectiveness and providing good customer service. Focus on employee development by conducting training sessions (safety, SOPs, housekeeping). Coaching the machine problem troubleshooting process to develop employees to be self-sufficient in troubleshooting and part of the decision-making processes. Reporting daily shift performance to the appropriate manager against established KPI's for items such as safety, quality, productivity, service, employee feedback, machinery, process, and facility issues. Ensuring overall effectiveness and successful implementation of department projects. Maintaining and keeping an adequate inventory level of general Plant supplies. Monitoring and analyzing fill rate efficiencies such as products picked, packed, shipped, and meeting the ship date. Initiating corrections in cooperation with and/or at the direction of the Operations Manager and technical support personnel. Serving as a technical resource to help formulate, monitor, and enforce goals of the area. This includes providing performance feedback, SOP implementation, problem solving and ensuring an atmosphere that fosters continuous improvement in a team environment. Communicating company messages to all employees; collecting and responding to questions and concerns. Acts as the first point of contact for employee issues and concerns and supports all Federal & State employment laws. As needed, consults with and utilizes the Human Resources Department. Accessing the payroll processing system to help ensure all punches are accurate and answer time and attendance questions. Performing other duties, as assigned, and regular attendance is required.Qualifications:
Education requirement is a minimum of a HS Degree or equivalent. Minimum of 2 - 5 years of professional experience, which includes supervisory responsibility in a manufacturing environment. Experience with web handling and coating equipment, pressure-sensitive adhesives, labeling, or paper or film industries highly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Office experience required. ERP experience preferred. Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.Scope:

This position requires frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. An employee will be required to stand, walk and sit with limited time spent in the office. Potential to be exposed to heights. Hearing, eye and foot protection are mandatory when entering the manufacturing area. Traveling to other sites may be required as project assignments necessitate. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Management Responsibilities Level :
