PRODUCTION TEAM LEAD
Reports to Operations Director/Production Manager Job Description The Level 2 Production Lead is in charge of the production area's performance. The Level 2 Lead ensures that the work area, including crew members, is set up on time. The team leader is in charge of overseeing all aspects of workplace safety, ensuring that personnel follow regulations and procedures. Duties and responsibilities Supervise and monitors a team of production employees Monitor the overall process of a production line/area Communicate and partner with the production supervisor on any issues and concerns Identify the staff needs for the day, and alternate employees in different areas as necessary Prioritize orders based on staff and business needs Partner with other departments (Production and Warehouse) to obtain the product needed for the day Ensure all orders are completed in a timely manner Ensure that all lines are setup properly with correct product, labeling and correct packaging information Get the required materials, tools and product as needed Reinforce safety and be a safety advocate for the production department. Report any safety issues to the production supervisor Schedule and assign daily work areas to production employees Inspect the product to ensure it meets food safety guidelines and customer expectations Maintain and clean and safe work environment Communicate any machinery issues to maintenance as needed Responsible for the proper and accurate completion of hourly documentation Follow and complete the daily production schedule, including changes that may occur during the course of the shift Make certain that all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and food safety policies are followed at all times Meets daily production standards Communicate quality issues of raw product to production supervisor and Quality Assurance department Assist in the training of new hires and ensure they are able to demonstrate competencies in all work areas Responsible for the validation of all carton barcode scanning Reinforce safety and be a safety advocate for the production department. Report any safety issue to the production supervisor Perform other duties that are required and assigned Qualifications Previous working experience in leadership and food manufacturing (2) years Have strong leadership skills, and the ability to deal with all leadership levels Ability to direct, train and coach employees in a positive manner Be able to work under minimum supervisor Be able to work under pressure Be able to use a computer and an I-pad Be able to read English Bilingual in Spanish a plus Be able to work a flexible schedule Be able to work in both buildings Working conditions Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 34- 38 degrees Fahrenheit Physical requirements Be able to lift up to 50+ lbs. Be able to bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, push and pull for 8-10 hours a day Be able to perform repetitive motions during the duration of the shiftSimilar remote jobs
