Production Team Member -Powder Coating

Our small business in Berry, Alabama is on the hunt for a detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate Powder Coating & Packaging Specialist to join our team for the day shift ! As our Powder Coating Specialist, you'll wear two vital hats: ensuring every planter looks flawless through precision coating, and then transitioning to the warehouse to skillfully package those orders for shipment. You are the final guardian of quality, ensuring our products are both beautiful and securely prepared for their new homes.

Responsibilities:

Operating powder coating equipment with finesse, ensuring even coverage and a high-quality finish on all metal planters. Executing precise surface preparation , including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts to ensure maximum adhesion. Managing the curing process , monitoring oven temperatures and bake times to achieve peak durability. Skillfully packaging and shipping planter orders once the coating process is complete, ensuring each parcel is handled with precision and care. Maintaining and cleaning coating booths and equipment to guarantee a safe, efficient, and contaminant-free work environment. Performing quality control inspections on finished goods, catching any imperfections before they are boxed. Maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipping orders to facilitate smooth warehouse operations. Loading and unloading materials and products from trucks with efficiency and care. Embracing on-the-job training to master new coating techniques and packaging standards as we grow.

Qualifications:

Infectious positivity and a resilient spirit—essential for keeping the energy high in our dynamic shop. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or warehouse packaging is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs , reflecting our commitment to the heavy lifting required in manufacturing. Exceptional attention to detail ; you notice the small imperfections that others might miss. Aptitude for both independent focus and collaborative teamwork. Punctuality and reliability —our production and shipping deadlines depend on you being there for the day shift. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Minimum age requirement of 18 years. Willingness to undergo drug screening as part of our employment process. Compensation:

$16/hr starting with opportunities for fast merit-based increases. Overtime encouraged. (1.5x pay)
