Production Utility

The Production Utility - Mining position is responsible for safely supporting daily mining operations by operating haul trucks to transport material from the mine site to the processing plant. This position may also assist with operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and excavators, performing general labor duties, and supporting production needs as directed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and willing to perform a variety of tasks in a mining environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate haul trucks safely and efficiently to transport material from the mine pit to the plant. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment and report maintenance or safety issues. Follow all mine safety rules, traffic patterns, and operational procedures. Assist with loading, unloading, stockpiling, and material movement operations. Operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders and excavators as needed and qualified. Maintain communication with dispatch, supervisors, and plant personnel. Perform basic equipment cleaning and housekeeping duties. Assist with general mine site labor and production support activities. Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues. Work safely around heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and plant operations. Comply with all company policies, MSHA regulations, and environmental requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous mining, construction, heavy equipment, or haul truck experience preferred. Experience operating front-end loaders and excavators is highly preferred. Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and uneven terrain. Basic mechanical aptitude preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements. Required Skills and Abilities Safe operation of haul trucks and heavy equipment. Ability to recognize and report safety hazards. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to changing production needs. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times per shift. Ability to work long shifts in varying weather and mining conditions. Must be able to wear required PPE at all times. Work Environment This position works in an active mining environment with exposure to moving equipment, dust, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions. Employees are required to follow all MSHA safety standards and company safety policies. Drug and Alcohol Testing This position is classified as safety-sensitive. Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
