Job Description

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Program Coordinator to support a fast-paced Clinical Cancer Genetics program within a multidisciplinary ambulatory care environment. This role provides administrative and operational support to clinicians and leadership while ensuring a high-quality patient experience throughout the scheduling, intake, and follow-up process. Located in Duarte, CA 1 year contract
Pay:
$26-31/hour Key Responsibilities Coordinate patient scheduling, intake, and follow-up appointments for cancer genetics services Assist with patient triage and obtain relevant medical records and documentation prior to appointments Maintain ongoing communication with patients, providers, and referring healthcare professionals Manage high-volume phone calls and electronic work queues in a fast-paced clinical environment Utilize EMR systems to document patient information, appointment updates, and care coordination activities Support clinicians and department leadership with daily operational and administrative tasks Ensure timely completion of follow-up activities and patient care coordination Assist with point-of-care services and patient experience initiatives within the ambulatory care setting Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong customer service standards at all times Qualifications High school diploma OR Ged required; Associate's degree preferred Spanish-speaking ability highly preferred Experience working in a fast-paced clinic, hospital, or healthcare environment Experience with Epic EMR Experience supporting oncology, genetics, or specialty care clinic Prior scheduling and patient coordination experience Experience handling high-volume phone calls and managing heavy work queues "This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
