Program Logic Control Technician Darling International Inc. 4221 Alexandria Pike (Show on map) May 07, 2026 Job Summary The Program Logic Control (PLC) Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated systems within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across production operations

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related devices Writes basic PLC programs (Ladder Logic) and understands and analyzes existing PLC ladder logic, recommends solutions, and initiates modifications as needed Responsible for hands on solutions including installations and upgrades Completes preventative maintenance as required Utilizes knowledge and experience in variable voltage circuits, 4-20mA circuits and 3 phase power up to 480v to perform assigned tasks Identifies problematic areas and inform supervisor of solutions Performs repairs in a cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly manner to maximize equipment availability Applies proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing maintenance tasks Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Vocational or Technical degree 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Ladder Logic) Ability to read and understand repairs manuals and drawings Demonstrated knowledge relating to Programmable Logic Controller installation, troubleshooting, programming, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices as related to

PLCs Preferred Qualifications:
