Job Description:
The Program Manager leads a cross-functional Program Team to achieve defined business objectives and customer requirements according to the Solero Technologies Product Development Process. The Program Manager is accountable for the performance and success of the Program Team without any direct organizational reporting relationship. The Program Manager may be assigned to multiple Program types; New business pursuits New product or new business launches Current production applications The Program Manager must work at all levels, internal and external to Solero, to ensure successful Program execution.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for successful Program execution Manages and executes the Program based on the Solero Product Development Process to meet defined metrics Lead the Product Development Team to insure coordinated implementation of Product changes at Solero or at suppliers. Drives accountability and action within the Program Team Leadership Leads cross-functional Program Team to achieve success based on Solero metrics and customer requirements Drives consistently positive dynamics and interactions within the Program Team Organizes and facilitates team meetings at the necessary frequency Communicates effectively Bases communication in a fundamental understanding of Solero and customer norms, values, and expectations Achieves results through influence leadership Leads by example Provides appropriate constructive feedback where necessary to help team members be more effective Ensures Program Team has resources to succeed Instills clear and executable vision for the Program and the team Demonstrates a positive attitude Approaches Program execution and challenges with a professional, positive attitude Respectfully challenges all levels within the organization when appropriate Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills Manages conflict Deals with conflict swiftly, constructively, and decisively, inside and outside of Solero, regardless of levels in the organization Deals with conflict in an unbiased and arbitrating manner Seeks compromise, but does not lose sight of the Program objectives Understands and applies financial concepts Understands key drivers of Program financials Ensures that Program financials are factored into all business decisions Manages risk within the Program Escalates and drives issues appropriately (both internally and externally) to secure the necessary support to resolution Respectfully challenges for key information, rationales, root causes, evidence, desired outcomes, next steps Champions transparency and compliance to APQP-based Product Development Process Documents and articulates all aspects of the Program in thorough, accurate, and timely fashion Ensure sufficient resources are allocated to the Program(s) Manages customer relationship Represents Solero credibly and confidently in front of all levels of the customer organization Champions the customer's needs within Solero Possesses a high level of product and process knowledge Applies a high level of product knowledge including design, specifications, applications, and system integration Applies a high level of relevant manufacturing knowledge including Solero processes, supplier processes, capital equipment and tooling Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required 5+ years' experience in business, engineering, or manufacturing (automotive driveline or powertrain preferred) Product and process launch experience strongly preferred Demonstrated team leadership experience and training Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills to interface with all levels within Solero, external customers, and suppliers Proficient in computer skills for industry standard word processing, spreadsheet, intranet, and PLM software Travel requirements depend upon Program assignment(s)
