Job Description
Program & Operations Associate Summary:
Sea Change Yoga is hiring a part-time Program & Operations Associate who will play a critical role in keeping the organization and our programs running smoothly. This person will communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including our program partners, yoga teachers, and donors. The Program & Operations Associate will report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate is an organized administrator with acute attention to detail. They are an enthusiastic and resourceful self-starter excited to support the organization's evolving needs and play a pivotal role in its continued success. Flexible and adaptable, they love challenges and solving problems. Passionate about Sea Change Yoga's mission and committed to social justice, they are excited to work within and model a trauma-informed work culture rooted in the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.Primary Responsibilities:
Program Administration (50%) Support Executive Director managing the daily operations of our 20 weekly yoga classes. Coordinate with program partners on specific projects and tasks. Assist Executive Director with new partnership launches. Update, maintain, and develop program materials. Support the distribution, collection, and data entry of our Participant Survey. Operations (50%) Work closely with the Director of Advancement to create compelling and impactful communications content, including written materials and visuals, that effectively convey SCY's mission, programs, participants, and achievements. Utilize donor database to record contributions and prepare gift acknowledgement letters, pull reports, mailing lists, and donor records to assist in fundraising efforts. Assist in the maintenance of the SCY website, keeping information continually updated to promote SCY programs and events. Manage online store and product inventory. Assist in the planning and execution of special events, and provide support at occasional evening or weekend fundraising events. Conduct basic bookkeeping and ensure timely payment of invoices using QuickBooks Online. Primary Characteristics and Experience A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or executive support position, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Technology savvy, with an orientation for troubleshooting and comfort navigating across multiple systems (working knowledge of Google Workspace, Quickbooks, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, and Bloomerang a plus). Highly organized, self-starter with experience managing and accomplishing multiple tasks. Interest in and inclination toward streamlining of processes. Ability to work well independently and as a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to social justice and inclusion. Commitment to a regular yoga practice is preferred but not required.Schedule and compensation:
This is a part time position, with flexibility to work between 18-24 hours per week in person at our office in Portland . The hourly wage is expected to be between $20 and $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications.To apply:
