Summary:
Performs basic machine programming and troubleshoots program errors/part placement discrepancies. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under moderate supervision, performs varied tasks of intermediate complexity
  • Applies intermediate and some advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area
  • May adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements functions of the position
  • Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
  • May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees
  • Responsible for generating machine programs with consistent programming techniques
  • Performs programming updates from production line changes and Engineering Change Requests
  • Provides support to production floor equipment setups and operation
  • Provides support to production floor to troubleshoot equipment
  • Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, or improving the performance of SMT and other production equipment
  • Assists in developing programs, for example: Prep, Routers, Ovens/Wave, Selective Solder, transformer manufacturing equipment, and other types of automated equipment utilized in the production process
  • Supports new product introduction and provide feedback on design for manufacturing Scope
  • Expands skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational process
  • Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise
  • Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision Education and Experience
  • High School w/1-3+ years' experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/6 months experience (Preferred) Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Able to stand for entire shift
  • Regularly performs repetitive tasks
  • Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
