North Highlands, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Project engineering Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong project management skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of construction processes. Responsibilities Work with various vendors to place orders for proper materials Put together submittals to provide to general contractors for approval. Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Conduct thorough blueprint reading to understand project specifications and requirements. Develop accurate construction estimates using estimating software. Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Implement effective time management strategies to meet project deadlines. Utilize various project software for documentation and communication among team members. Assist in project coordination activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor change orders and timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to stay on track. Experience Proven experience in project management within the construction industry is preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and tools is a plus. Proficiency in using construction management software including ProCore and other platforms. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in contract negotiation and administration is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
