Job Description
A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a Project Engineer to manage design, build, and launch activities for new and custom-engineered machinery. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept through installation and working closely with customers, vendors, and cross-functional plant teams. Primary Duties Lead engineering projects for new equipment, retrofits, and system upgrades from kickoff through customer acceptance and production handoff. Coordinate design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews with customers and key suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and controls components. Create and manage project timelines, open issues lists, and status updates for internal stakeholders and customers. Partner with manufacturing, controls, and service teams to support build, testing, commissioning, and performance validation of equipment. Ensure required documentation is completed (drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, manuals, work instructions) for each project. Drive cost, quality, safety, and schedule objectives while balancing customer requirements with plant capabilities and standard designs.

Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. 3+ years of project or manufacturing engineering experience, preferably with industrial machinery or capital equipment. Familiarity with mechanical systems, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, or industrial automation. Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects in parallel. Comfortable communicating directly with customers, vendors, and cross-functional plant teams. CAD proficiency and a basic understanding of GD&T are preferred.
