• Full-time Acme Construction is a Utah-based heavy civil contractor specializing in road reconstruction, structural concrete, excavation, and large-scale public infrastructure projects throughout the Wasatch Front.

We are currently hiring a Project Engineer to join our team. This is an entry-level position for professionals looking to build a career in heavy civil and road construction . The Project Engineer will support Project Managers and Superintendents with the planning, coordination, and execution of roadway construction projects. In addition, this role will assist the estimating team with project bidding and cost analysis. This position provides hands-on exposure to field operations, project management, and estimating. Job Responsibilities Assist in the coordination and management of road construction projects Support project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports Assist in the preparation of project estimates and bid packages Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when required

• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Help analyze project costs including labor, equipment, and materials
• Assist in preparing bid summaries and proposal documentation Track project schedules, quantities, and budgets Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Assist with project planning, cost tracking, and progress reporting Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Participate in site visits and field coordination with superintendents and crews Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 0-3 years of experience in construction, estimating, or heavy civil projects preferred Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work both in the office and in the field Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications Experience with estimating or takeoff software is a plus
