Runtech is seeking an experienced Paper Machine Project Engineer to lead complex paper machine projects across the USA and Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for end?to?end project execution-from initial planning through commissioning and final customer acceptance. You will work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and commissioning specialists to deliver high?performance technical solutions that meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This is a hands?on, customer?facing role for a technically strong professional who thrives in a project-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Paper Machine Project Engineer, you will: Lead paper machine projects from contract handover through final acceptance Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, and budgets Coordinate in?house and outsourced engineering teams to ensure timely delivery Identify, analyze, and proactively mitigate technical and commercial project risks Monitor project execution to ensure excellence in: Technical solutions Cost control Resource efficiency Health, safety, and environmental standards Manage project documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking Act as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle Apply and continuously improve project management processes and best practices Versatile to sell multiple vacuum brands within Gardner Denver/Nash portfolio.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Paper Science or related paper machine experience 5+ years of experience in paper machine project management or related roles Proven background in troubleshooting and executing paper machine projects

Strong collaboration skills and a team?oriented mindset Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies Excellent analytical and problem?solving skills Experience working across cultures and managing change Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements Remote-based position, preferably located near a major airport. Travel required up to 50% to support customer engagement, internal collaboration, and business development initiatives. Ability to travel by air and ground and work effectively across multiple regions. Position will report to Runtech North America Technical Sales Manager Pay Range The total pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is $120,000-$150,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
