Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Estimator with strong technical knowledge of underground mining equipment or an in-depth understanding of hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent business writing skills, a strong attention to detail, and a drive to see projects through to completion. This position requires both strong technical capability and practical cost-analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and prepare accurate cost estimates and bids for mining equipment projects Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats Contribute to team success by bringing energy, professionalism, and attention to detail Develop detailed labor and material cost estimates Coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales teams Prepare professional quotes and project proposals Review historical budgets VS. actual cost

Qualifications:

• Mining or heavy equipment experience
• Knowledge in underground mining equipment will be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience in quoting, estimating, or technical sales—preferably in a heavy equipment, mining or remanufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong technical writing and math skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and mechanical specifications
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Self-starter with ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, shop-floor-integrated environment
• Drafting or engineering degree is a plus
• Experience using ERP or quoting software The successful candidate will be honest, exhibit an extremely high level of integrity, dependable, capable and eager to accept responsibility.
