Company Overview A leading employee-owned (ESOP) General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee K-12 school construction projects throughout Hartford, Connecticut. The company specializes in commercial, institutional, and educational construction and is committed to delivering high-quality projects through collaboration, innovation, and strong client partnerships. Position Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of K-12 school construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of K-12 construction projects including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project execution Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle Monitor project schedules, costs, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery Review and manage contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders Collaborate with field operations to maintain safety and quality standards Identify and resolve project risks and challenges proactively Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred 10+ years of project management experience in commercial construction Experience managing K-12, educational, municipal, or institutional projects preferred Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holidays Professional development and advancement opportunities
