10+ years Position Summary SMX Services & Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support IT Support Services for the Federal Election Commission (FEC). This role serves as the primary liaison between SMX, the FEC COR, product teams, and stakeholders, ensuring effective delivery of application support, maintenance, upgrades, and security initiatives. This is a Key Personnel role; the selected candidate will be included in the proposal and subject to government approval. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day management of contractor personnel Act as primary liaison with FEC stakeholders and leadership Coordinate work across maintenance, upgrades, security, and urgent requests Track performance, risks, issues, and deliverables Facilitate meetings and provide status reporting Manage backlog, tickets, and work prioritization Oversee transition planning and operational readiness Ensure compliance with FEC security and governance requirements Required Qualifications Strong experience managing IT operations, application support, or delivery teams Experience in federal, public sector, or regulated environments (preferred) Proven stakeholder management across technical and business teams Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, etc.) Solid understanding of application support, releases, UAT, and security remediation Strong reporting, communication, and organizational skills Must be local to the DC area or available for on-site work Ability to obtain required federal clearance Preferred Qualifications Federal IT contracts, GSA MAS, or FFP delivery experience AWS, application modernization, or cloud environments Java / Apache Tomcat applications Oracle to PostgreSQL migration Jira/GitHub workflows Section 508 and secure SDLC QASP-driven performance management
