We are growing, and we are looking for someone who can own projects from start to finish — not just manage them, but drive them. Position Overview This is not a sit-back-and-observe role. We are looking for a Project Manager / Project Coordinator who can take control of active jobs, keep designers, shop, installers, and clients aligned, and make sure projects move forward without delays, confusion, or missed details. You will be the central point of accountability — ensuring that what gets designed is buildable, what gets built is correct, and what gets installed is ready. Key Responsibilities Own project flow from approved design through installation Coordinate between design, engineering, shop, finish, and install teams Track and enforce job timelines, approvals, and production readiness Ensure all projects have: Finalized drawings Clear dimensions and specifications Hardware and materials ordered Install packages complete Communicate directly with contractors, homeowners, and internal team Identify problems early and solve them before they hit the shop or jobsite Manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing control of details Maintain job documentation and organization within company systems Keep leadership updated with clear, accurate project status What We Are Looking For Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving projects Ability to read drawings, understand cabinetry construction, and think through installs Clear and direct communicator — no guessing, no assumptions High level of accountability — you own your projects Problem solver who can make decisions and keep things moving Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Preferred Experience Project management or coordination experience in: Custom cabinetry Construction Millwork or woodworking Experience with drawings (2020 Design, CAD, or similar is a plus) Understanding of production and installation sequencing What Success Looks Like in This Role Jobs move on time and without chaos The shop is never waiting on missing information Install teams show up prepared — not figuring it out on site Clients and contractors are informed, not chasing updates Problems are handled before they become expensive mistakes Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based growth opportunities Paid time off Opportunity to grow into senior leadership role Work with a high-level team producing premium custom work Why Island Woodcrafts This is not a corporate environment.
