About Black Desert Resort:
Black Desert Resort is a $2 billion luxury golf resort based in Ivins, Utah, consisting of over 500 hotel rooms in the Resort Center, over 1,000 condo units, and nearly 100 real estate lots. Additionally, Black Desert will include a water park, five restaurants with a variety for everyone, and other highly-rated amenities for our owners and guests, and community members. Designed by Tom Weiskopf, the Black Desert Golf Course is a championship-level course that currently plays host to the Bank of Utah Championship PGA Tour event in the fall-season.
Position Summary:
Reef is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Superintendent to support the development of a large-scale water park as part of the Black Desert Resort project in Ivins, Utah. This role is ideal for an emerging professional looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment while contributing to a high-profile hospitality and recreation destination.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all phases of construction for the water park project, from pre-construction through completion Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure timely and efficient project execution Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements Participate in site meetings and provide regular updates to senior project leadership Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders Help identify and resolve project risks, delays, or issues in collaboration with the project team Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
2-4+ years of experience in a construction superintendent or related role Experience with commercial, hospitality, or recreational projects is a plus (water park or resort experience highly desirable) U nderstanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting Familiarity with construction documentation and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively both in the office and on an active construction site Strong attention to detail and time management Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach Willingness to learn and grow within a large-scale development project
