Propagation Team Leader

SUMMARY Primary function is to fill out daily reports, communicate with cutting collection team on necessities, help craftsmen on how to cut and stick, perform quality check, prepare daily cutting list. Reports problems within process to Coach.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Enter in system accurate records of varieties, amounts cut, amounts planted. Count daily production. Produces production reports on quantity produced. Assist in quality control with support craftsmen. Produce samples for each variety to display on tables Communicate with cutting collection team in the field to assure cuttings are coming into the department as scheduled. Walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., squatting, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned to meet departmental requirements. Keep an inventory of materials needed and request replacements when necessary.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Can follow instructions and ask questions for better understanding. Open to feedback. Enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers. Excellent driving skills and ideally, experience driving a tractor, forklift or heavy equipment. Basic math, reading and writing skills.
