Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 1200 River Road Central City, KY 42330 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 12 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. The Property Officer Supervisor at Green River Correctional Complex is responsible for supervising employees involved in the inventory, control, and sale of property for the institution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise staff to include inmate staff involved in inventory, control, and sale of property for the institution. Assigns, coordinates, and oversees the work of employees. Plans and supervises the activities involved in the acquisition, receipt, control, and inventory of all property and supplies and maintains adequate inventories. Accounts for property by physical inspection, tagging, or marking and data processing control. Maintain an inventory of property location, value, transfer, sale or disposal. Maintains surplus property in include providing acquisitions and disposal and relocating items for storage as needed. Returns and tracks property that is defective upon arrival for repair or replacement. Provides technical assistance to agency personnel and staff. Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION

High School Graduate

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS

Four years of experience in the inventory, control, sales or disposal, or acquisition of property, or a related field. Substitute
