DISRUPTIVE
through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Create prototype components using the latest software and machining methodology
  • Understanding of conversational programming, fixturing, and effective work holding
  • Experience in machining a variety of materials
  • Program and post to a variety of CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software
  • Proficient with knee mills, manual lathes, surface grinders, and/or cylindrical grinders, internal grinders, CNC mills, turning centers, 5 axis mills, 5 axis mill-turns, wire EDM, sinker EDM, etc.
  • Work directly from CAD Models, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce accurate prototype power tool components in a variety of materials
  • Recommend design changes or modifications, select allowances and materials, proceed from your own concepts in the absence of design and specifications as needed
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Use a variety of precision measuring devices to layout and inspect work
  • This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual who will be required to frequently communicate with our New Product Development Team and maintain schedules while aligning with safety and quality expectations
  • Willingness to add value through training/professional development of RPD apprentices
  • Culture alignment is imperative, interpersonal skills, self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Good written, and oral communication skills and a desire to build constructive working relationships
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to strategize/prepare effectively and follow through according to plans
  • Embrace a growth mindset, seeks out technical coaching and feedback, while continuing to develop problem solving and troubleshooting abilities What TOOLS you'll bring with you: Requires a high school education or equivalent, supplemented by an apprenticeship program and 10+ years of applied experience in related fields.
Apprenticeship requirement can be offset by work experience. A thorough understanding of machining principles, i.e. datum planes, tab machining, dimensional accuracy, and materials. Extensive programming and operational knowledge in one or more of the following machines or similar: Hermle Five Axis, Haas / Mazak Vertical Machining Centers, Mazak Multi-Tasking Five Axis Integrex, Nexus CNC Turning, Sodick Sinker EDM, Mitsubishi Wire EDM, Koepfer Gear Hob, Knee Mills and ID / OD Grinders Proficiency in
CAD & CAM
software is essential to perform assigned responsibilities. CAD proficiency in one or more of the following: Solidworks, NX Unigraphics, CAM programming proficiency in PowerMill, NX Unigraphics, Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit, or Surfcam software required.
