Psychiatric LPN

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Louisiana
• Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in performing nursing procedures.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move patients safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred

• Understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely.
