This is a 2 days/16 hours with prospective to full time position. In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy for diverse patient populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes, support recovery, and promote overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Duties Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment planning. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with careful attention to medication interactions, side effects, and patient adherence. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions tailored to individual needs, including behavioral health counseling and crisis intervention. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans that address physical health, mental health, and social determinants. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to psychopharmacology or behavioral health innovations to advance evidence-based practices. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and available community resources to support ongoing recovery. Qualifications Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). New Grads....Welcome!! Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management. Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles including CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-10). Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary and interpret laboratory results or diagnostic imaging. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education sessions, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
