Within the Psychology Department at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana. ELMHS is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Psychology Department as a Psychologist 3! Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice psychology followed by one year of experience in psychological research, testing, or counseling. Works to provide resources and support needed to provide uninterrupted and appropriate patient care. Provides documentation to the court and court testimony as needed that is helpful in determining a person's competence to stand trial and other psychological issues. May contribute to and assist in the specialized training programs for the development of the internship program and the Tulane Postdoctoral Fellowship at ELMHS. Interacts with professional peers and other staff in an appropriate and cooperative manner. Participates in educational trainings and competency requirements as mandated for accreditation and licensure of the facility, as well as mandated by all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of LDH, OBH, ELMHS, and Civil Service.Position Specific information:
