We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. This role requires a compassionate professional committed to providing exceptional mental health care and support to individuals in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive psychological service programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting assessments and treatments tailored to the needs of each individual.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and examination of available records. Collaborate with other clinical staff, including psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning. Perform regular rounds in various housing areas to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements. psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions. Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress. Engage in consultations with staff across various departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes among inmates.Position Requirements:
Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license. Proven experience in a clinical or correctional setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Additional Information:
This position requires onsite work; remote arrangements are not available. Compliance withOFCCP/EEOC
