The Center for Healthy Minds & Practice (CHaMP) at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) and UF Health is seeking a full-time Psychologist to join its team to help cultivate psychological well-being among UFCOM and UF Health faculty, residents, and staff in support of their personal and professional development. This psychologist will provide short-term therapy both in-person and via telehealth, provide group support following critical incidents, facilitate ongoing support groups, provide training for and assistance to the clinician peer support program, and address emerging situations. Additional responsibilities may include offering educational presentations and/or programming related to mental health-related topics for UFCOM and UF Health faculty and staff. The psychologist's primary responsibility is to offer clinical services for individuals who work at the University of Florida College of Medicine/UF Health. Applicants should have experience working with a wide range of psychosocial (e.g., burnout/job stress, marital/familial stress, substance use concerns, interpersonal difficulties) and mental health concerns at varying levels of severity, with the ability to refer to community services as needed. Experience working with doctoral-level professionals, including healthcare workers, is preferred. The job will involve collaboration and coordination with other resources, including the UF Employee Assistance Program, Care for Colleagues, UFCOM Director of Wellness Programs, and GatorCare Wellness, among others. The psychologist may provide clinical supervision to other counselors within the center. This position may be deemed an essential employee with additional required responsibilities during a declared emergency. About This Role Provide direct time-limited individual counseling for UFCOM and UF Health faculty, residents, and staff with psychological, emotional, career, and/or relationship concerns. Case management, including clinical supervision, coordination of cases with UF/UF Health stakeholders and external providers, referrals, emerging situations, and follow-up care with clients. Provide group-based interventions through ongoing support groups(e.g. spousal, interns), planned programs, and post-incident debriefings. Administrative tasks, including preparing, reviewing, and signing clinical documentation. Perform additional duties as assigned. $115,000 annuallyRequired Qualifications:
A doctorate in psychology from an accredited college or university, which includes one year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology. •All applicants must be licensed OR licensed eligible within 2 years as a mental health professional or psychologist in the state of Florida.Preferred:
Preferred qualities of the candidate include: Clinical experience working with healthcare professionals and/or university faculty and staff Clinical experience working within a hospital or other healthcare setting • Experience leading group therapy and/or support groups Experience working with individuals with severe mental health concerns Experience with clients and/or family members coping with substance abuse Knowledge of Gainesville-area mental health services and providers for referrals, as needed Experience effectively maintaining case management records in a timely manner Energy to flexibly manage the professional demands of a challenging workload while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships Collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect, and trust towards colleagues and clients Demonstrated sensitivity and commitment to multicultural issues/social justice and proven ability to interact with several individuals and groups Self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals, standards and ethics Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in workplace mental health, including crisis assessment/management/intervention, short-term treatment, confidentiality requirements, outreach and referral Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while maintaining collegial relationships with partners and peers Ability to work with a range of educational background — from high school through doctoral-level Familiarity with quality assurance protocols Special Instructions toApplicants:
