Part-Time Perioperative RN - No weekends, no holidays and no call! Job Description:
We are currently seeking a PT Perioperative RN to join our dynamic team. As a Perioperative RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Working closely with our experienced surgical team, you will contribute to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement patient care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, providing appropriate nursing interventions. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with anesthesia administration. Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies. Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities. Required Skills:
Current RN license in the state of Louisiana. BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of three years of nursing experience; perioperative experience preferred. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
