JOB SUMMARY

: To provide customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures and to uphold the Gold Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Help customers locate departmental merchandise and educate them on product knowledge. Verify the proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise. Operate a handheld Telxon and maintain inventory accuracy. Remove damaged merchandise from the floor as needed. Follow Company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads. Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures. Assist customers with special order requests and sales. Attend store and job-related meetings along with completion of required in-house training. Communicate effectively with Customers, Management, and all store employees. Follow all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines. Ensure that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties. As needed, operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors. Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail Ability to work with groups as well as independently Contribute to a positive working environment Ability to operate computers and other commonly used retail equipment

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds, specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
