Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Hopedale, Ohio Gables Care Center is a premier long-term care facility in Hopedale, Ohio, committed to providing exceptional care and compassion to our residents. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, dedicated to helping our residents achieve their maximum potential. About the
Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Gables Care Center, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to design and implement individualized treatment plans for our residents. Your expertise will focus on promoting independence, improving mobility, and enhancing overall well-being. Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Physical Therapists with patient assessments, development of treatment plans, and implementation of interventions Conduct physical therapy treatments, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions as prescribed by the Physical Therapist Monitor and record patient progress, reporting changes and concerns to the Physical Therapist Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, adhering to facility policies and procedures Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication Participate in staff training and education programs to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field Successful completion of a PTA program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Ohio Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting (not required but preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients, with or without assistance, as needed
