Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist Assistant supporting school-based populations. Collaborate with an onsite Physical Therapist, helping students achieve their mobility and developmental goals through creative, compassionate therapies. This position offers a weekly schedule of 40 hours and involves travel of up to 150 miles per week within the area, providing the chance to work with a diverse group of schools through an education service district (ESD).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid PTA licensure required, with authorization to practice in Oregon A minimum of one year of PTA experience is preferred, especially in school settings; new graduates with strong clinical skills will also be considered Flexibility and organizational skills for travel between multiple campus locations Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate care with on-site PT and educational staff Dedication to supporting students' educational and mobility outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions as prescribed and supervised by the onsite Physical Therapist Assist in the preparation and adaptation of equipment for student use Collect data and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy activities Travel to various school sites within 150 miles each week to provide continuous services Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate optimal student engagement and achievement Working in this role brings the satisfaction of supporting students' growth and independence in their educational environments.
