Job Description
Summary:
Plans, directs, and coordinates communication activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties. Position includes health education program planning, implementation, evaluation and oversight.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate marketing and outreach for programming across all Divisions Maintain positive relationships with media and local marketing companies Manage TCHD printing needs both internal and external Serve as Public Information Officer (PIO) during emergency and crisis situations Plan and direct development of communications designed to keep the public informed of TCHD program's activities, and accomplishments Assist in planning, promoting, and implementation of special events and programs Represent the organization at community, social, and business events Mange TCHD's website and social media platforms Create promotional flyers, informational social media posts, Facebook lives, and videos (including writing scripts and providing voiceovers) to promote programs and initiatives of TCHD Answer TCHD information requests from media and community partners; review correspondence prepared by others Plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs as assigned Use best practices and evidence-based programs to target and impact the health of the community Conduct community surveys and collaborate with other health specialists and civic groups to ascertain health needs, develop desirable health goals, and determine availability of professional health services Prepare and present educational programs to target audiences; research current health issues to enhance programs and educational materials such as brochures, newsletters, social media graphics, press releases, and distribute as appropriate Workwithcommunity-basedcoalitionsandorganizations to ensure the public's health and well-being Participate in ongoing efforts to maintain agency accreditation status Monitor and track ICS training certificates for all staff Perform all other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in communication, health education or related field required 1 year related experience in media, communications, or related areas required, 2 years preferred 1 year health education experience or educational background required, 2 years preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current driver's license Current auto insuranceKnowledge:
Knowledge of the core functions and essential services of public health Knowledge of the principles and practices of public speaking Knowledge of community resources and health agencies related to public health Thorough knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation Knowledge of public relations Knowledge of incident command structure and its useLanguage Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, media, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical Skills:
The employee must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Apply principles of good ethical/legal practice as they relate to study design and data collection.Computer Skills:
Ability to utilize basic PC hardware and software, Windows OS, email systems and operations. Ability to utilize cybersecurity skills to identify and mitigate cyber threats and recognize potential attacks like phishing. Understand security protocols and know how to respond appropriately to security incidents.Physical Demands:

The employee may work indoors in an office setting. The employee may work outdoors and require the ability to climb stairs or traverse varying types of terrain. The employee may need the ability to work productively in an environment where noise levels could be distracting at times. The employee may need the ability to work with a high level of accuracy with frequent interruptions. The employee will need to work in a professional manner with fellow employees and members of the public.
