Shepherd University seeks a Public Services Desk Attendant to join our team. The Public Services Desk Attendant supports the daily operations of the library's public services area. This position is responsible for staffing the service desk, providing basic assistance to patrons, and maintaining a welcoming, well-organized environment.

Work Schedule:

Fall and Spring Semesters Sunday 11:45 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Mon-Thurs 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Summer and Intersession Hours reduced and variable

Minimum Qualifications:

Good oral and written communication skills. Experience working with the public. Ability to multitask efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or certificate. Experience working in a library. Knowledge of the Library of Congress Classification system (LCC). Appointment to this position will be contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
