Accounts Payable Purchasing Assistant | New Castle, DE Area | $50K-$55K + Benefits |
Onsite Keys:
High Volume, large scale environment. I'm currently partnering with a highly stable and well-established distribution company on a full-time Purchasing Assistant opportunity. This is an excellent chance to join a collaborative organization with a strong culture, beautiful office space, and a highly tenured team. The individual currently in this role is retiring after 15 years, and the company is planning a comprehensive 3+ month training and transition period to ensure long-term success. This role supports daily purchasing and operational activities across vendor coordination, order management, invoice verification, and materials flow. You'll work closely with purchasing, accounting, warehouse, and sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing purchase orders, invoice verification, Accounts Payable, and supplier billbacks
  • Coordinating with vendors and carriers regarding orders, discrepancies, returns, and credits
  • Supporting BOL preparation, damage claims, and supplier reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate records across Excel and internal systems What they're looking for:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple spreadsheets and processes simultaneously
  • Advanced Excel skills; Pivot Tables highly preferred
  • Purchasing, distribution, or food & beverage industry experience is a plus
