Job Description

The Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and products. This role supports daily operational efficiency by working closely with suppliers, warehouses, transportation partners, and internal teams. Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, components, and services. Create and manage purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system. Track and confirm order status, deliveries, and lead times. Maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness. Monitor pricing, contracts, and supplier performance. Resolve discrepancies with invoices, purchase orders, or receiving documentation. Logistics Coordination Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including booking freight and preparing required documentation. Monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams on scheduling, receiving, and shipping. Troubleshoot shipping delays, damages, or customs issues. Optimize transportation methods to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Inventory & Data Management Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular tracking and reporting. Update ERP or inventory management systems with real-time data. Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits. Analyze demand forecasts and recommend reorder points. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred). 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain operations. Knowledge of domestic and international shipping rules, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficient with ERP systems (QuickBooks / Fishbowl.) and Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
