Purchasing Clerk

Responsibilities:

Purchasing:

a. Using Purchase Orders, orders all materials necessary to provide for a timely production schedule. b. Orders office supplies by making out requisition form. c. Manage vendor schedules to include Expediting, Rescheduling, and Verifying Acknowledgements. d. Meets with vendors as required. 2.

Manage Vendor Schedules:

a. Expediting and transportation. b. Schedule receipts. c. Rescheduling. d. Verifying Acknowledgements. e. Maintain current costs f. Request for quote. g. Vendor calls. 3. Production Planning a. Receive requirements report (MRP) showing revisions to planned production orders (PPR's) b. Review MRP to determine changes to or additional PO's required c. Change/create PO and issue to vendor d. Regenerate new MRP report 4. Costing a. Maintain current cost in PO module per published vendor listings b. Create and update new cost reports for raw materials for annual standard cost change c. Input cost changes into business system 5. Backup Functions a. Accounts payable b. Cash Receipts c. Shipping Documentation 6. Help as needed with order entry
