Purchasing & Inventory Manager - Modular Construction Elite Modular Housing | Timpson, TX Elite Modular Housing builds custom modular structures for leading customers in hospitality, energy, and data center infrastructure. We're hiring a Purchasing & Inventory Manager to own the materials side of our manufacturing operation — keeping the line moving, controlling cost, and building the vendor relationships that fuel our growth. This is a high-visibility role. Your decisions move the P&L. You'll work directly with operations leadership and have real ownership over how we buy, what we pay, and how we manage inventory. What you'll do: Own procurement of all materials, supplies, and equipment for production Forecast material needs in partnership with production and project teams Manage inventory levels — keep the plant supplied without tying up cash in excess stock Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times Issue and track purchase orders end-to-end Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and quantity Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile regularly Identify cost-saving opportunities — every dollar saved hits the bottom line Build out and improve our inventory control processes and systems You're a fit if you have: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort multitasking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Solid communication and problem-solving instincts The ability to anticipate needs, not just react to them Reliability and a strong work ethic Bonus points for: Procurement, purchasing, or inventory management experience Background in construction, modular, or manufacturing Experience with inventory management or ERP systems Vendor negotiation track record Supply chain coursework or certifications (CPSM, APICS, etc.) What we offer: Competitive salary: $16/hr+ based on experience Paid vacation (after 6 months) and full-time stability Direct exposure to ownership and leadership A real seat at the table — your work directly drives company profitability Growth opportunity with a fast-expanding modular manufacturer
