Job Description
Basic Function:
The Purchasing Specialist will assist with the purchasing and scheduling of materials, products, and services while maintaining good supplier and vendor relationship. General support for the purchasing department is also expected.Responsibilities :
Create, process, and review requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Adjust delivery dates and quantities based on inventory levels and direction of supervisor Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other issues. Coordinates resolution of problems and revises product schedules when necessary. Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. Works directly with sales and accounting to reconcile discrepancies and open purchase orders. Attend training activities to gain adequate knowledge regarding company products and services. Review purchase orders and contracts for conformance to company policy. Assist Purchasing Management with annual stock package analysis and review. Associate or bachelor's degree in related field OR two (2) or more years in a similar position or related field. Strong written and oral communications. Sales Technique.
