Purchasing Specialist ViprTech is a fast-growing e-commerce company specializing in reliable, affordable gaming PCs. We are looking for an experienced purchasing professional who can bring structure, urgency, and accuracy to one of the most important parts of our business. As our Purchasing Specialist, you will help ensure we have the right inventory in place to keep production moving, avoid costly delays, and make more informed purchasing decisions. This is a detail-heavy role for someone who is reliable, organized, and proactive enough to help prevent inventory issues before they affect production. The right person will be responsible for tracking pricing, availability, lead times, vendor communication, open orders, and incoming shipments, while also sourcing new vendors, comparing supplier options, and assisting with pricing and negotiations. Success in this role requires accuracy, strong follow-through, clear communication, and the ability to manage detailed purchasing information consistently. Responsibilities Monitor inventory needs, identify potential shortages early, and help ensure the company does not run out of critical parts needed for production. Communicate with existing suppliers to request current pricing, availability, lead times, purchasing terms, shipment status, and expected delivery dates. Maintain organized purchasing records and spreadsheets tracking vendor pricing, quantities, part numbers, lead times, and supplier notes. Source new potential suppliers and compare vendor options based on pricing, availability, shipping cost, lead time, reliability, and overall value. Assist with negotiating purchase orders, product pricing, shipping costs, and other purchasing terms when appropriate. Place purchase orders and coordinate shipping logistics to help ensure parts arrive on time. Track market trends, pricing changes, availability issues, and supply chain conditions that may affect purchasing decisions. Make recommendations on stock levels based on current inventory, sales trends, supplier lead times, pricing, and market conditions. Communicate clearly with management regarding purchasing opportunities, delayed shipments, stockout risks, pricing changes, and inventory concerns. Help improve purchasing processes so inventory planning becomes more consistent, proactive, and reliable. Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory planning, vendor management, logistics, or a similar role is required, including experience sourcing vendors, tracking pricing, coordinating purchase orders, and managing inventory needs. Strong understanding of how pricing, availability, lead times, and market conditions impact purchasing decisions and business operations. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with purchasing records. Comfortable using spreadsheets and other tracking tools to keep purchasing information organized and up to date. Strong written communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal management. Consistent follow-up Able to compare suppliers based on cost, availability, lead time, reliability, and overall value. Able to identify inventory risks before they become urgent. Basic understanding of PC hardware preferred.
