$60,000 - $80,000 Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is now hiring for a Manufacturing Purchasing Supervisor in Duffield, VA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This role is responsible for supervising purchasing operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules.

Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day purchasing activities in a manufacturing environment Procure raw materials, components, and indirect supplies Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms Monitor lead times and coordinate with production planning to avoid shortages or excess inventory Create, review, and approve purchase orders in the ERP system Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure material specifications are met Resolve supplier issues including late deliveries, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies Track KPIs related to cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulations Train and mentor buyers or purchasing team members

Qualifications:

3-5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred) Strong knowledge of BOMs, MRP, and manufacturing processes ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to read technical documents and engineering drawings Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, APICS) Experience with lean manufacturing, JIT, or Kanban systems Familiarity with ISO or quality management systems Why Apply?
