Responsibilities Operate and navigate push boats with precision, ensuring safe passage through inland waterways, locks, and congested areas. Lead and manage the crew onboard, assigning tasks, overseeing safety procedures, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Conduct thorough pre-departure inspections of the vessel's mechanical systems, rigging, and safety equipment to guarantee operational readiness. Monitor weather conditions, water levels, and navigational hazards to plan optimal routes and avoid delays or accidents. Maintain detailed logs of voyages, cargo movements, safety checks, and communication with shore personnel. Ensure strict adherence to maritime regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with management on operational planning, vessel maintenance schedules, and crew training initiatives. Skills Strong background in maritime operations with proven experience operating push boats or similar vessels. Knowledge of rigging techniques for securing cargo safely during transit. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of vessel systems, engines, and troubleshooting procedures.
