Thorpe Specialty Services does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiting agencies. The QA/QC is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities on projects. QA/QC will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing materials and ensuring all work meets project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Role and Responsibilities Must be safety oriented and align with Thorpe safety culture Knowledge of properly catalyzed, mix resins Knowledge of properly grind/surface prep., layup, rollout Knowledge of basic pipe squaring, cutting, fitting, 2-holing of spools Knowledge of application of resins in accordance with specifications and procedures Knowledge of thermoplastics and dual laminate QC all shop fabrication in accordance with specifications, drawings and create QC documents Track and keep up to date all calibrated equipment in the shop Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen MS Office and network utilization knowledge 5 Years of Fiberglass Experience Must be able to work 2nd shift Physical Requirements Able to lift 50-100 lbs Climb ladders, scaffolding, etc. Work in confined spaces The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
