Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on QA/CI leader who can drive quality, reduce waste, improve processes, and help shape the future of operational excellence at Dura-Fibre. If you thrive on solving problems, challenging the status quo, and turning data into action, this could be the opportunity for you.
Summary:
The QA/CI Manager is responsible for leading the company's quality assurance programs and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations. This role ensures products meet customer and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. This position partners with production, maintenance, sales/CS, and the leadership team to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
Continuous Improvement Lead CI initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Increase efficiencies related to downtime and productivity on machines throughout the plant as well as decreasing scrap within the facility. Partner with operations to improve throughput, quality, and overall performance Facilitate kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects Actively seek out and identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, cost reduction and optimize workflows. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management Lead research, identify and implement AI concepts and tools in different areas of the business Quality Assurance Ensure incoming materials and outgoing product meets our customer specifications sustaining our on-time delivery requirements. Establish and monitor key quality metrics (scrap, defects, rework, customer complaints, etc.) Manage non-conformance processes, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions Oversee internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable regulations Drive standardization of processes, procedures, and documentation Support sales/CS with sample design and creation for customer needs, as well as die board design/support for customer products Work directly with customers on any quality-related issues that may arise, and support onsite tours as well as travel to customers as needed LeadershipCollaboration Train and coach employees on quality standards and CI tools Collaborate with production, maintenance, sales/CS, and leadership to solve problems and implement solutions Serve as a key point of contact for quality-related issues internally and externally Promote a culture of accountability, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement Maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and an essential function of this position.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in business, quality, or operations and 2+ years of related experience in a QA/CI capacity. Minimum of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
