job summary: Join a Top-Tier Global Pharma Leader in Fair Lawn, NJ, as a QC Scientist I. This 6-month contract role operates on a fixed 2nd shift schedule (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) and is an excellent opportunity to perform critical, fit-for-purpose quality control testing in support of active manufacturing operations.

Fair Lawn, New Jersey job type: Contract salary: $23 - 25 per hour work hours: 3 to 11 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform in-line and finished product release testing using a variety of analytical techniques and wet chemistry methods. Prepare standards and samples for analysis and operate analytical instrumentation with minimal supervision. Document and report all analytical testing data accurately within the LIMS database and laboratory notebooks following good documentation practices. Assist with out-of-specification (OOS) investigations by performing targeted testing and documenting results appropriately. Support Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement activities to optimize instrumentation methods and laboratory workflows. Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and safely lift up to 40 lbs as required by operational tasks.qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 1 year of industry laboratory experience, preferably within a chemistry or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures and adhere to good documentation practices.Preferred:
2+ years of relevant Biotech experience. Hands-on experience with wet chemistry and basic analytical instruments. Familiarity with compendial testing methods (ACS, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, FCC). Experience utilizing Lean methodology and identifying process improvement opportunities.skills:
