Apex Systems is seeking a Quality Technician based out of Hanahan, SC.

Contract Role Overview An opportunity is available for a Product Acceptance Specialist to join a supplier quality receiving inspection team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and integrity of all incoming materials and components. This position acts as a key defense against defects and non-conformances in the supply chain by writing tags and documenting nonconformances. Key Responsibilities Write tags for nonconformances. Verify product conformance to design requirements. Provide objective evidence of inspection results. Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. Identify and document discrepancies. Segregate and control non-conforming items. Conduct product reviews with the customer during product or process verification. Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate requests for corrective action.

Required Qualifications Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

Previous experience in a quality inspection role within this specific organization is required. This includes experience with the organization's internal systems, such as Velocity, and experience writing tags for nonconformances.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in quality inspection, particularly in manufacturing or aerospace environments. Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI). Familiarity with quality standards and specifications, such as AS9100. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) like SAP or Oracle. Experience using quality management software. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $28.00/hr to $32.97/hr.
